Dr. Blackwood is a third-generation orthodontic specialist — his grandfather founded this practice, his father Thomas continued it, and he has been specializing since 1994. That's over 30 years of dedicated orthodontic expertise. He holds an M.S. in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the University of Detroit Mercy — a specialty degree that general dentists cannot claim. He's an AAO member. He grew up in Potomac, coaches youth soccer and lacrosse, and has two sons. He knows this community because he's part of it.
